20 Wonders of the World You Must See (at Least) Once in Your Life
A journey through two dozen treasures that various civilizations have scattered across the globe: from the Great Pyramid of Giza, the only surviving wonder of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, to the Great Wall of China and the Statue of Liberty in New York.
Alongside the finalists of the global poll New7 Wonders of the World, a campaign that began in 2000 to select new wonders of the world from among 200 monuments, there are others that simply must be included in the traveler's DNA. The winners of this campaign were: the Great Wall of China, Petra (Jordan), the Roman Colosseum, Chichen Itza (Mexico), Machu Picchu (Peru), the Taj Mahal (India), and the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro.
Not all are included, but those that are present are all significant.
