Abades Hotels and Unicef Join in Defense of Children's Rights
The Granada-based Abades Group, with over 25 years of experience, has joined the Unicef Friends Hotels program through three of its establishments: Abades Benacazón in Seville, Nevada Palace, and Abades Recogidas in Granada.
Specifically, guests at these hotels can choose to donate one euro from their bill to Unicef Friends Hotels. 100% of the donation will go directly to this program that the NGO runs in over 150 countries and territories worldwide.
Unicef Friends Hotels is an initiative that fights against commercial sexual exploitation of children in travel. Unicef estimates that between 500 million and 1.5 billion children are victims of violence, and around 1.8 million children suffer sexual exploitation. Thus, Unicef creates protective environments to prevent violence and exploitation against these children.
Participating hotels become a platform for communication and mobilization among guests and staff to promote and respect children's rights.
