Airline Updates

For all those wishing to spend their vacation in Myanmar (formerly Burma), Thai Airways offers a daily flight from Madrid. Additionally, TAM and Continental Airlines have signed a code-sharing agreement.

Thai Airways (www.thaiairways.es), a Thai airline, proposes traveling to Yangon (Yangon as referred to by the local residents) via Bangkok from Madrid. The airline offers daily flights starting at 1,042 euros (except during peak season) that depart from Madrid at 1:00 PM and return at 9:50 AM and 7:45 PM.

Regarding the agreement signed by TAM and Continental Airlines, it is a code-sharing agreement on several routes between the United States and Brazil, among other countries. Therefore, the two airlines, which are part of Star Alliance, will jointly market these routes.

Furthermore, since April 6, 2010, TAM and Continental Airlines have maintained an FFP (Frequent Flyer Program) agreement, allowing members of the TAM Fidelidade program to accumulate and redeem points on any flight operated by the American airline. Similarly, members of the OnePass program from Continental Airlines can accumulate and redeem miles on all domestic and international flights operated by TAM.
