Alevante, the New Restaurant by Ángel León
Alevante is the new project by Ángel León, a renowned chef with two Michelin stars, three Repsol Suns, and the National Gastronomy Award 2012, in collaboration with Meliá Hotels. Located inside the Meliá Sancti Petri in Chiclana de la Frontera (Cádiz), this restaurant promises to be a culinary experience featuring fresh seafood products.
The opening of Alevante will be on March 1st and will be a space for 30 diners serving dinner, where dishes such as rice with plankton, shrimp tortilla, royal sea urchin, or potatoes with cuttlefish will be offered, along with an extensive tasting menu of 17 courses and another with 11 courses.
Additionally, it will offer more than 100 references of Wines from the Land of Cádiz selected by sommelier Juan Ruiz - Henestrosa, a collaborator of León.
Aponiente, the chef's first restaurant, opened last November in a tidal mill in Puerto de Santa María (Cádiz), which is also a complex dedicated to marine life. In this restaurant, Ángel León offers two menus (there is no a la carte): one for 190 euros (27 dishes; an additional 80 euros for a wine selection by Juan Ruiz) and another for 160 euros (18 dishes; an extra 60 euros for wine pairing).
According to Alberto Lalinde, General Manager of Meliá Sancti Petri: "The cuisine of Chef Ángel León is brilliant and original, and we hope to dazzle our guests with his culinary works that create memories to last a lifetime."
