Digital giants are also attracted to the "real world." Amazon has just opened a nearly 4,300 square foot physical store in New York that aims to be a huge hit - and it already is. This is Amazon 4-Star, where the internet giant will sell only the highest-rated products on its website, specifically those rated four stars or higher. There are books, technology, home goods, all kinds of gadgets... There will also be new products and, of course, the "bestsellers" from the website, regardless of their rating, meaning the best of Amazon is available right on the streets in the heart of the Big Apple.

The store is strategically located in the heart of Soho, at 72 Spring Street, so it's likely to attract hundreds of thousands of tourists. Those who have already visited say entering it is a similar experience to browsing their website as everything is categorized and labeled using the same codes and tags: "If you like this...you'll like this too," "Customers who bought this also bought this other thing," or "frequently bought together."

Although the prices are exactly the same as those on Amazon online, Amazon Prime customers can benefit in the physical store from special prices and discounts on some of its products, including those from the grocery section. The products also feature a digital marker that allows customers to read reviews directly on the website, and the stock will change weekly in line with the ratings that various products receive on the web.

Amazon had already opened a supermarket in Seattle earlier this year, Amazon Go, where there are no checkout lines and purchases are recorded via sensors and cameras.
