This iconic spa hotel, located in an idyllic setting, was inaugurated in 1891, although its current building, designed by the same architects as the Palace of Magdalena in Santander, was not completed until 1911.

Checkerboard floors, high walls, streams of light, and 80,000 square meters of parks and gardens highlight the spectacular offerings of this spa hotel, one of the oldest in the country, whose waters were already famous for their miraculous properties before Senator Manuel Ortiz de Pinedo purchased the land known as "Las Salinas" in the late 19th century. He decided to build a spa hotel for public enjoyment of the healing virtues of the waters and salts from the area, deemed unique in Spain.

In 1997, the current owners of the Balneario Hotel Palacio de Las Salinas decided to restore its former glory from over a century ago by recovering and modernizing its thermal offerings, adding dietary and health treatments, golf initiation courses, a tennis court, and a gym. The highly mineralized waters are especially beneficial for locomotor problems, skin diseases, respiratory conditions, and stress. Health treatments include relaxation programs, fitness regimens, anti-stress, aesthetics, and body regeneration.

Additionally, the facility offers 4 kilometers of walks and groves with beautiful nooks and viewpoints. Just a few kilometers away is the historic center of Medina del Campo, featuring La Mota Castle and the San Antolín Collegiate Church, along with nearby attractions such as Tordesillas, Olmedo, and Rueda.
