Berlin Calling
Martin Karow is DJ Ickarus, an electro DJ and producer at the peak of his career. His nights take place in techno clubs around the world, and his days are spent hopping from one airport to another. He is accompanied by Mathilde, his manager and girlfriend. Both are in the middle of producing Ickarus's next album when, after one of his performances, Martin ends up in the emergency room of a Berlin psychiatric hospital due to drug excesses.
During the days he must spend in the hospital, he continues working on his album, but his personal situation begins to feel too frustrating. The record label does not seem very interested in releasing his work, and after escaping from the hospital, he indulges in an orgiastic weekend with one of his fans. The self-destructive spiral Martin has found himself in seems never-ending, and once again, he will check himself into the hospital, this time voluntarily. The recovery process appears complicated, but finally, there seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel.
