Qatar Airways is the Best Airline in the World. This has been confirmed by the Skytrax Airline Awards, annual awards granted by the British audit that compares the quality of services provided by airlines and airports worldwide to their users. Considered the "Oscars of the aviation industry", these awards are the most prestigious in the sector due to the clarity and independence of the process and methodology used to compile the rankings. As such, travelers from around the world are surveyed to determine the winners.

Thus, Qatar Airways, in addition to being the Best Airline in the World, has also won the award for the Best Business Class in the World, the Best First-Class Lounge in the World, and the Best Airline in the Middle East.

The top ten Best Airlines in the World for 2017 are: Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines, ANA All Nippon Airways, Emirates, Cathay Pacific, EVA Air, Lufthansa, Etihad Airways, Hainan Airlines, and Garuda Indonesia.
