Blablabus is the new way to travel across Europe created by the Blablacar brand, aimed at those who want to travel by road and visit as many destinations as possible, as well as those who wish to easily navigate various cities across the continent. Nicolas Brusson, co-founder and CEO of the company, assures that this platform enables connections.

The main objective of this new platform is to create a network of connections, both national and international, that link different cities within or outside the same country. Currently, the service is operational in France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Portugal, Luxembourg, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and even Tangier, Morocco.

This expansion of the brand has been made possible thanks to the recent acquisition of Ouibus, a company that provides coach service in Europe. Therefore, all offers from Ouibus can be booked through Blablacar, although in Spain, Ouibus is still the platform responsible for managing the trips. Blablabus hopes to become a reference brand for intercity road travel, and its next step will be in October, when the entire fleet will carry the brand's identity.

Álvaro Zamácola, Country Manager of BlaBlaCar for Spain and Portugal, has stated that "in Spain, there is a concessionary bus model, which we obviously respect, and which allows our users to benefit from trips on BlaBlaBus that connect Spain with European destinations such as France or Italy," and highlights the possibilities that complete integration offers: "European citizens, not just BlaBlaCar users, will find two complementary modes of travel with a single platform, making it easier for passengers to choose the route that best fits their needs."

The mechanism is simple as it follows the same approach that the Blablacar platform is accustomed to: you select an origin, a destination, some dates, and check availability. If a trip suits your needs, you book it and manage payment through the app. Passengers are allowed to bring two large suitcases and one carry-on. The buses are equipped with all sorts of amenities including WiFi and electrical outlets.
