Known as Dewi Sant, Wales' national holiday takes place every March 1st and is used as an excuse to celebrate parades and festivals throughout the streets of the capital, Cardiff. This is the time when Welsh traditions and culture are exalted through the nation's emblems: daffodils and leeks.

One of the main events that will take place in Cardiff will be the parade held around noon. At that time, a crowd will fill the streets adorned with daffodils and leeks to commemorate the feast of St. David, who, according to legend, advised the Welsh on the eve of a battle against the Saxons to wear leeks in their clothing to distinguish themselves from the enemy. This is why the leek became the national symbol of Wales. The popular Giants representing Welsh personalities will participate in this parade.

On another note, live music and numerous entertainers will fill the streets of Cardiff, along with food stalls offering typical Welsh recipes such as leek pie, potato soup, and the famous Welsh cakes.
