Charity Auction for Trips Starting at 1

In this charity auction, around fifty trips, hotel stays, and flights donated by companies and individuals from the tourism sector, as well as by tourism offices, will be auctioned starting at a price of 1 euro. All money raised will be donated to a Solidarity Tourism project in Ecuador managed by the NGO Ayuda en Acción.

This project will take place in the Intag region of Ecuador, where the Pucará Youth Group, along with some local tourism organizations, will create a tourism center that will include restaurant areas, a café, and an exhibition of cabuya crafts and archaeological pieces.

The trips will be auctioned between June 6 and June 16 on the website www.subastamoselmundo.com/subasta, with destinations including Ireland, Costa Rica, Argentina, Scandinavia, the Balearic Islands, Costa Brava, the Canary Islands, Rome, and Gothenburg.

The organizers of this initiative are Turismo 2.0 and the communication agency Moonshine, with the collaboration of Ayuda en Acción and the eBay portal. Chris Pomeroy, director of Moonshine Marketing, wants to reassure bidders for the trips and states that "the voucher for each trip will be issued by the travel agency www.traveloteca.com to ensure it is backed by the official license of this retail wholesaler and has exactly the same rights as if the normal price for the trip had been paid and booked through a travel agency."
