The new trick to get cheap flights on Google Flights will amaze you
Surely you are already thinking about your next trip. Whether to a small town or to a major European capital, to a paradise destination, or a route through the most beautiful places in Spain... Any option is valid to disconnect from work and routine for a few days. However, we know that sometimes obstacles arise when planning a trip, and one of them is money. Flights, accommodation, meals, dinners, visits, and countless plans can all be affected by the budget we have.
However, there is one of those obstacles that we can avoid thanks to Google Flights, which has a trick for saving when buying plane tickets. The process has already been significantly simplified by incorporating some features into their app, such as "Price Guarantee" - Google is obligated to refund you the difference of the ticket purchased if its price drops - and now there is even better news.
The New Google Flights Feature
The new proposal from the tech giant in its app consists of adding tabs in its search engine. This way, the user can select the exact departure and arrival date and find the cheapest flights on those days from any major U.S. city. As explained in Google's blog, "there may be cheaper options available for those willing to give up some comfort in exchange for the best deal".
Google Flights can redirect you to a third-party booking site or suggest returning from a different airport than the one you arrived at. Thus, Google adds the "Cheaper" tab. The same blog warns that this could involve "more creative itineraries, such as longer layovers, self-transfer, or the possibility of purchasing different segments of the trip through various airlines or booking sites".
It adds to other very useful functions of the app
Additionally, in the U.S. we could already see the average price of the flight we were looking for to get an idea, so this new feature is a perfect addition and complements the "Best" tab. "For those moments when cost matters more than convenience, the new tab offers a simple way to see the lowest prices available and then decide for yourself what advantages and disadvantages you want to obtain," it adds in the blog.
This new feature arrives at the best time of the year, just before the December holidays and Christmas, times when many will want to return home and others will want to leave it behind for a few days. Now that you know the best trick to take care of your wallet and enjoy a fabulous trip, don't hesitate to start thinking about your next destination. Just know that traveling is always an adventure.
