Costa Cruises Inaugurates a New Ship, the Costa Luminosa
Costa Cruises will launch two new ships this year, the Costa Luminosa and the Costa Pacifica. On June 5th in Genoa, the inaugural ceremony for the Costa Luminosa will take place, a ship with a capacity of 2,800 people featuring highlights such as a 4D cinema, a golf simulator with 37 virtual courses, a 90 m² green area, jogging and roller-skating tracks, and the Samsara Spa with a Kinesis room. In terms of accommodations, the Costa Luminosa has 772 cabins and a total of 1,130 staterooms.
The routes that the Costa Luminosa will undertake will include Northern Europe, covering Norway, North Cape, and Spitsbergen, a route to major European capitals including Amsterdam, Lisbon, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Helsinki, St. Petersburg, Tallinn, or Bornholm, and the route called 'Islands of the Sun': Morocco, Canary Islands, Madeira, and Italy.
As an introduction, this new ship will perform a series of introductory cruises. The first will be a ten-day cruise around Italy, the Greek islands, Turkey, and Croatia with two departures on May 5th and 19th, starting from $1,159. Additionally, the Costa Luminosa will conduct two mini-cruises, one for four days through Italy, Greece, and Croatia departing on May 15th, starting from $474, and another for five days through Italy, Greece, Malta, and Tunisia departing on May 29th, starting from $684.
