Best Things to Do:
Guide to New Disney Attractions and Shows
Disneyland Paris is celebrating its 25th anniversary. The European park of magic, emotion, imagination, and wonder has pulled out all the stops for this milestone and is presenting new attractions, a new parade, and a stunning final show in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. Over these 25 years, the Disney world has expanded and has incorporated classic characters alongside those from Pixar, the Marvel universe, and the Star Wars universe, which is now the major highlight of the Paris park. In its first 25 years, Disneyland Paris has welcomed over 320 million visitors. It is the top tourist destination in Europe.
-Star Tours: The Adventure Continues. A revamped attraction based on the original Star Tours. An intergalactic 3D journey into the heart of the Star Wars films, from Episode I to VII, with 70 different combinations. Next to the attraction, in Star Port, guests can have a face-to-face encounter with Darth Vader (a unique experience at Disneyland Paris). Starting May 4th, visitors will also have the opportunity to join the Rebel Alliance aboard Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain (the former Space Mountain: Mission 2), where they will traverse the galaxy at light speed and encounter starfighters.
-Disney Stars on Parade. The parade that runs through the park every evening is entirely new. Everything. The eight floats, weighing between 4 and 22 tons. The costumes of the 100 participating performers, the music, and the choreography. A moving story composed of eight chapters that links emotions with the Disney and Pixar movies that have resonated most with the audience.
-Happy Anniversary Disneyland Paris. Several times a day, on the Castle Stage, Mickey Mouse dresses in his finest attire to gather all visitors under Sleeping Beauty Castle accompanied by over twenty Disney characters on stage, in a performance that celebrates the park's 25 years with music and dance.
-The Princess Waltz. Also on the Castle Stage, the show The Starlit Princess Waltz takes place, featuring eight Disney princesses in spectacular costumes created for the 25th anniversary. Aurora, Ariel, Belle, Cinderella, Snow White, Jasmine, Rapunzel, and Tiana bring the charm of their characters to life with a waltz accompanied by the fountains of the castle.
-Disney Illuminations. Simply magnificent. The end of the day gathers all guests in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle, which becomes the canvas for a projection using the latest technology that showcases classic Disney and Pixar favorites, with laser effects, light shows, music, mappings, fireworks, and water jets... For the first time, it includes live-action images from films such as Pirates of the Caribbean and for the first time in Disneyland Paris's history, it features images from the Star Wars universe.
