Free Doha with Qatar Airways
Qatar Airways Offers Passengers a Free Stay and Transit Visa to Enjoy Doha.
Doha as part of your vacation. This is what the Qatar Tourism Office wants travelers to consider when planning their holidays in the Arab Emirate. To achieve this, it has partnered with Qatar Airways and offers its passengers an exclusive package during their layover in Doha: +Qatar.
The +Qatar promotion suggests that all Qatar Airways passengers spend a night in the capital to discover its attractions. Specifically, it offers a complimentary one-night stay at a selection of four and five-star hotels such as The Four Seasons, Marriott Marquis, Radisson Blu, or Oryx Rotana, in addition to a free transit visa. Those wishing to extend their stay can purchase a second night for $50 (around 45 euros).
+Qatar is available until September 30 and can be booked through its website in three options: +Qatar Ultimate, which consists of two nights at a 4 or 5-star hotel for $50; +Qatar Luxury, through which Business and First Class passengers on Qatar Airways can enjoy a free night at a five-star hotel; and +Qatar Premium, which allows Economy Class passengers on Qatar Airways to have a free night at a four-star hotel.
To book this promotion, passengers need to reserve a "multi-city" ticket with a layover in Doha, request the free transit visa, and book the +Qatar offer. This offer is available from May 1 to September 30 for flights booked through the Qatar Airways website that have a transit time in Doha exceeding 12 hours.
The CEO of Qatar Airways Group, Mr. Akbar Al Baker, stated: "This exclusive initiative provides the opportunity to add an extra element to our passengers' initial travel plans with a complimentary hotel stay at some of the best hotels in Doha."
Additionally, the Director of Tourism Development at the Qatar Tourism Office, Mr. Hassan Al-Ibrahim, added: "With the launch of +Qatar, our goal is to convert a high percentage of the 30 million passengers passing through Hamad International Airport into visitors making their stop in Doha."
