Don't Blame Karma for What Happens to You is the new movie that will have you laughing out loud and promises to be a major success. Starring Verónica Echegui, Álex García, David Verdaguer, Alba Galocha, Cecilia Freire, Elvira Mínguez, and Jordi Sánchez, it is based on the namesake novel by Laura Norton, one of the biggest literary hits of recent years, published by Espasa-Planeta.

Don't Blame Karma for What Happens to You tells the story of Sara (Verónica Echegui), a thirty-something from Madrid, a professional featherworker, who likes to be in control. However, her life falls apart when, in the same week, her apartment becomes a place for the Marx Brothers, and she has to live with her boyfriend who has been abroad for a year, her recently divorced father, and her sister with her new boyfriend, Sara's high school crush.

The movie has been filmed between Madrid and Hong Kong, which visually takes the audience on a journey to the heart of two very different yet quite similar cities. In Madrid, notable locations include Calle San Bernardino, 3, where Sara lives, and Plaza de las Comendadoras, as well as the streets of Las Rozas. Other locations where this film was shot include the Guadalajara Zoo and Victoria Harbour in Hong Kong.

Don't Blame Karma for What Happens to You is a production of Zeta Cinema and Sony Pictures Spain and has the participation of Televisión Española, Movistar+, Televisió de Catalunya, Vodafone, and Elipsis Capital, with collaboration from ICAA and ICEC and financing from TRIODOS, ICO, and CREA SGR.
