The "Excellence" of 52 Barceló Hotels

In 2015, 52 hotels worldwide belonging to the Barceló Hotels & Resorts chain obtained the Certificate of Excellence awarded annually for the past five years by the website TripAdvisor. Of these, 22 have received it for the fifth consecutive year, which places them in the Hall of Fame for this award that recognizes excellence in hospitality and is granted only to establishments that have consistently received good reviews from travelers on TripAdvisor.

The winners are chosen through an algorithm created by TripAdvisor that takes into account the quality, quantity, and most recent dates of the reviews made by travelers on the website during a twelve-month period, as well as the performance and popularity index of the business on the site. To qualify for this distinction, businesses must maintain an overall rating of at least four bubbles out of five on TripAdvisor, have a minimum number of reviews, and have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months.

The awarded establishments are located in Spain (28), Mexico (11), the Dominican Republic (3), the Czech Republic (3), Germany (1), Egypt (1), Guatemala (1), Turkey (1), Costa Rica (1), Bulgaria (1), and Greece (1).
