Explore Baqueira Beret in Depth
Baqueira Beret offers its visitors three routes, called "safaris," which allow you to enjoy the Aran Valley through the three areas that make up the resort: Baqueira, Beret, and Bonaigua. These routes are tailored for all levels of skiers and are fully marked and signposted, so they can be undertaken with or without a guide.
Specifically, the routes offered by Baqueira Beret are:
- Blue Safari. The route is 25 kilometers long and traverses intermediate-level, comfortable, and wide slopes. The accumulated vertical drop is 3,566 meters and is suitable for those who are not expert skiers or who want to spend a day with family. The time taken varies from 5 hours 50 minutes to 5 hours 30 minutes depending on stops and queues at the lifts.
- Red Safari. This itinerary has a length of 37 kilometers and an accumulated vertical drop of 7,097 meters. It is suitable for advanced skiers, as the slopes have a certain gradient and orientation. The duration of the safari is 4 to 7 hours depending on stops and queues.
- Black Safari. This route is ideal for expert skiers. It is the shortest of the three, covering only 23 kilometers with an accumulated vertical drop of 4,468 meters. This route is designed to take about two hours without stops or queues and up to 4 hours with stops.
In the case of the blue and red safaris, it is possible to hire a guide on weekends. With the guide, the duration of the safari is about 4 hours and ends at the Bar de Baqueira, where a glass of cava is offered. The cost of hiring the guide is 20 euros per person for groups of at least 8 people.
