Palma, the capital of the island of Mallorca, invites you to get lost and be amazed by its streets filled with history and culture, reflecting the Roman, Muslim, Jewish, and Christian legacy, all under the watch of the Cathedral of La Seu. Being bathed by the Mediterranean, it also offers the chance to cool off at its beaches.

What better way, after an intense day of cultural visits in the city, than to end it relaxing with a refreshing dip or a rejuvenating swim? Or take a stroll along the promenade of one of Palma's five beaches or bathing areas, most of which are easily accessible on foot, by bicycle, public transport, or car from the city center.

1. Playa de Palma

On the eastern coast of the capital lies Playa de Palma, an expansive sandy stretch of 5 kilometers extending from Can Pastilla to S'Arenal. It features fine white sand and clear waters with gentle waves, making it ideal for families.

It offers all kinds of services and activities both in and out of the water, perfect for sports. The long promenade connects the beach with the urban area of Palma, and its proximity to the airport attracts numerous tourists throughout the summer season.

2. Playa Can Pere Antoni

Its 800 meters of white sand are frequented by tourists and residents throughout the summer who come to swim, play volleyball, or practice paddleboarding. Near Can Pere Antoni are the Real Club Náutico de Palma and the harbor.

It's perfect for a calm swim, as it is sheltered from the wind and waves by the breakwaters surrounding it. It also boasts a long promenade with a wide range of dining options and its marina, Club Marítim Sant Antoni.
