Best Things to Do:
Flights from $20 with Iberia
Starting May 27, purchasing flights will take on a new twist with the launch of Iberia's new website: subastas.iberia.com. Through this portal, the airline will auction flights to destinations around the world. The first destinations will be New York, Paris, and Rome, with starting prices of $50 (round trip) for the former and $20 for the European capitals.
These auctions will open and close daily and will feature specific flights to several predetermined destinations. While the airline sets a starting price that can be as low as $5, it will be the auction participants who determine the final ticket price.
The newly created website is optimized for web and tablet, as well as PC, and it allows users to register and create their profiles today, where they will receive notifications about the bids: when it increases, if they have won, or to set automatic bids up to the limit price they establish.
Additionally, Iberia always offers the best available price for that flight on iberia.com, so if users prefer to exit the auction and purchase the ticket directly, they can do so with just one click.
