Is it a bird? Is it a plane? It's a massive flying hotel complete with a cinema and a casino. Spanish designer Oscar Viñals has created this aerospace marvel that Taylor Swift would love for her daily excursions (since she takes flights more often than many people drive). In the movie Back to the Future (1985), it was stated that by the year 2015 there would be flying cars, and the AWWA-QG Progress Eagle resembles a flying cruise ship more than a car. This vessel is significantly larger than the largest commercial airplanes available today. The Airbus A380 is currently the biggest aircraft, measuring 24 meters in height and 73 meters in length, accommodating up to 853 passengers. The AWWA-QG Progress Eagle surpasses it by a significant margin, with a wingspan of 96 meters and a length of 80 meters, while its most exclusive version will only carry 300 passengers, as the seats are replaced with comfortable and spacious armchairs that take up much of the space.

The two levels of the aircraft are not only occupied by passenger seats, as one of the features that makes this aircraft a major technological advancement in transportation is the services it provides during the flight. The AWWA-QG Progress Eagle includes a restaurant, a spa, a cinema, a casino, and even an observation deck on the top to enjoy the incredible views beyond the tiny windows.

Similar to commercial flights, the Progress Eagle offers passenger categories, distributed across three decks: economy class, business class, and pilot class. The seats in the extremely luxurious pilot class will have the privilege of sitting at the front of the plane to enjoy the best views.

The Future of Technology and Sustainability Go Hand in Hand

To power six massive engines, the large aircraft features a design focused on eliminating fossil fuels in favor of hydrogen fuel cells. Additionally, this will improve the aircraft's range and significantly reduce its energy consumption compared to modern aircraft.

Oscar Viñals' proposal has a clear sustainability goal aimed at reducing the environmental impact of airplanes. For this reason, in addition to seeking alternatives to the fuels that harm the planet, it plans to cover the roof and wings with solar panels to collect energy and charge the batteries.

This mode of operation allows the AWWA-QG Progress Eagle to remain airborne practically indefinitely, as it features a system based on solar-collecting satellites. Unfortunately, the plane won't begin production until 2030 because materials that have yet to be fully developed are required.
