Why Not Try House Swapping for Vacations?
The concept of vacation accommodations is changing. More and more Americans are opting for house swapping when planning their days off.
There are numerous companies online that connect users who want to exchange their houses during vacations, one of which is Knok, which has compiled a report on the state of the sector after the summer.
This report indicates that 94% of respondents rate the house swapping experience as very good, 91% say they will do it again next year, and 93% will recommend it to their friends. Furthermore, they report that their stays have been longer than if they had stayed in a hotel or apartment.
On the other hand, respondents stated that they have not given up on international tourism; in fact, they have exchanged houses with foreign people, being their second or third trip of the year. Contrary to what one might initially think, house swapping is not just intended to save money but also allows for more trips of longer duration within the same budget. Additionally, it provides the opportunity to discover the destination like a local, rather than as a tourist.
As for the user profile, surprisingly, families with children are the ones who have utilized house swapping the most, as they are typically the ones who find vacations the most challenging to manage.
Definitely, house swapping is an option that everyone should try.
