InterRail is a travel pass that allows European residents to travel over a specific period - from 5 days up to one month - across 30 European countries through 37 railway and ferry companies. Few know that this pass also allows you to take ferries from Italy and Greece. Therefore, most of the time, it is only necessary to show the pass to board the train or ferry, although sometimes a seat reservation is required.

Regarding the types of passes, there are several options: Global Pass, which allows unlimited travel across all member countries and one outbound and one return journey in the country of residence; One Country Pass, which allows unlimited travel within the borders of the chosen country; InterRail Greek Islands Pass, which includes ferries; and InterRail Premium Pass, which is only available for Spain and Italy and allows free train reservations as well as other exclusive benefits such as free travel guides and sightseeing tours.

Now, InterRail has announced a 15% discount for purchases made from October 1 to December 31 and for travels until March on their Global Pass, making travel cheaper in the fall and winter. Additionally, this offer includes a free pass for children aged 4 to 11 years (up to two children per adult).

On the other hand, the One Country Pass also has a 15% discount under the same conditions: purchases by December 31 for travel until three months thereafter (the month of March). In both cases, boat trips in Italy and Greece are included.

This offer can be purchased on the website of Renfe and through other channels for first or second class tickets and for Youth, Adult, or Senior categories.
