Royal Caribbean has just launched the largest cruise ship in the world. It's the Oasis of the Seas, with a capacity for 5,400 passengers, 2,700 cabins, 16 decks, 225,000 tons, and a length of 360 meters. This ship will make its maiden voyage on December 1, departing from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, heading to Labadee in Haiti. From that moment on and throughout 2010, the Oasis of the Seas will sail the Caribbean Sea on routes ranging from 5 to 9 nights.

The Oasis of the Seas features seven different themed spaces, including the AquaTheater with an aquatic amphitheater and the deepest pool at sea, measuring 5.4 meters deep; Central Park, a park at sea with 12,175 plants, 62 climbing plants, 56 trees, and bamboo; a 25-meter zip line; a handcrafted carousel; a beach pool, or two FlowRider surf pools.

Regarding dining, this ship boasts a large number of restaurants and bars. Notably, the Rising Tide Bar, which is a moving bar, allowing passengers to enjoy a drink while ascending and descending through 3 decks; as well as Jazz on 4, offering live jazz and blues music, and the restaurant 150 Central Park, managed by Chef Kerriann Von Raesfeld, along with other options for sushi, pasta, seafood, or vegetarian meals.
