Interview with Laura Peanutt

What does your job consist of if you had to explain it to someone?

My main job, along with my husband, is to write articles for our blog. In it, we publish travel information from our journeys to help other travelers plan their trips. I also create content on social media about my travels and daily life, where I work with brands that can offer something positive to my followers and share it with them.

Two words that define you.

Adventurous and positive.

Where are you heading?

I never think too far into the future; I enjoy every moment, do what I love, and that makes me happy-traveling.

What is the most heartfelt thing you have been told on social media?

I receive many messages saying that I have inspired them to travel to a country, and that if it weren't for me, they would never have taken that trip. I feel very proud to contribute my part in giving people that final push to embark on the adventure of traveling.

What does travel teach you?

To disconnect from routine, open your mind, and learn about the world we live in, new cultures, and traditions. Traveling provides a well-being that cannot be compared to anything else.

What travel books are essential for you?

Two books I recommend to every traveler are "Wild" by Cheryl Strayed and "The Tao of Travel" by Paul Theroux. I also love travel guides; I have many, and they are my weakness.

Explain in one sentence your upcoming travels and what appeals to you about them.

Traveling throughout Spain for several months in my camper has reached a point where I know more about other countries than my own; I want to explore all of Spain thoroughly.

What do you still have to discover?

So many places; I would need several lifetimes to visit all the locations that come to mind, but among my list of future travels are Japan, South Korea, and Polynesia...

What is, in your opinion, the kindness of a traveler?

The fundamental thing is to respect the culture and customs of each country; adapting to their lifestyle is part of the journey, and it's something enriching.

What would you say to your current 'followers' and the next ones?

I can only thank them; if it weren't for them, many of the doors that have opened for me would still be closed. And to future followers, I encourage them to be part of my small travel community.

Tell me something you want published.

I encourage everyone to chase their dreams; with effort, work, and sacrifice, anything can be achieved.
