Sol Meliá Adds Five New Hotels in Greece, Brazil, and Egypt
Among the new additions by Sol Meliá is the Sol Kipriotis, which opened last month in April on the Greek island of Kos. This hotel is located next to the Aegean Sea and features 651 rooms and a convention center with a capacity for 3,000 people.
Also in Greece, the hotel company has added the Meliá Athens, which will open its doors on June 1. This hotel is a four-star establishment with 136 rooms and several meeting spaces, situated on one of the busiest streets in the Greek capital.
In Brazil, Sol Meliá will manage the Jacumá Beach Resort in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Norte. This resort, set to open in 2011, includes a hotel with 300 rooms and three residential complexes with 521 housing units. Additionally, the hotelier will manage a 270-room hotel in Brasília, the capital of Brazil, under the Tryp brand.
In Egypt, starting next month in October, Sol Meliá will manage the Sol Soma Beach, which has 314 rooms.
