There is no greater morning pleasure than a hot coffee that revives our soul. That first sip can spark the most pleasant emotions of the day. However, many people prefer to wait and go, for example, to Starbucks.

But that gesture of visiting your favorite coffee shop can vary greatly in price depending on the country you're in. It's not hard to find one of these coffee shops around the world, as there are over 32,000 worldwide.

But, how much does a coffee cost in each country around the globe? We find out thanks to the study conducted by Cash Net USA, which has tracked the prices of Starbucks across the planet to find answers. And the differences can be overwhelming between countries!

Key findings:

  • Switzerland has the most expensive Starbucks in the world, where a latte costs $7.17.
  • The Swiss also have the most expensive Starbucks product globally, the Iced Caramel Macchiato, priced at $9.31.
  • The cheapest Starbucks in the world can be found in Turkey, with a latte costing $1.31.

We explore the price of these coffees around the world...

The most expensive coffee in North America is from Panama, where they pay the highest price for a latte in the world: only $4.70. Guatemala, on the other hand, has the cheapest latte, priced around $3.20.

Canada and certain Caribbean islands also offer some of these coffees for around $4, which is quite reasonable in relation to GDP.

Chile ($4.95) and Argentina ($4.67) each have lattes that are more expensive than those in the United States, which is notable. On the other hand, Brazil hosts the second cheapest Starbucks latte in the world, priced at only $1.96.

Europe

Europe has the most expensive Starbucks latte in the world. Not only that... we also have the second and third most expensive in the world. Switzerland takes the crown with $7.17 for a latte. Following this are Denmark at $6.55; Finland at $5.67; and Norway at $5.08 for a latte.

Belgium and Portugal, on the other hand, have more 'reasonable' prices at $3.52 for the former and $3.59 for the latter. Spain, on average, has a price of $3.95 for a simple latte. Would you pay that? We already know you would because we've seen you, you cheeky ones.

In Italy, for example, the Starbucks latte is quite cheap at $2.84.

There are two types of black gold in the Middle East. But despite their oil wealth, countries like the United Arab Emirates ($4.29) and Saudi Arabia ($4.27) do not charge as much for their Starbucks coffees as the pricey European cafes.

Turkey spans both Europe and Asia and has the cheapest latte in the world, with over 500 stores and the largest number of branches in the geographical region.

Rest of Asia and Oceania

Japan is home to the first Starbucks store abroad and its largest coffee cup, which has a capacity of 9 liters and costs $700. But we know you want a more modest coffee... that costs $3.57, which isn't too extravagant either.

The cheapest in this geographical area is in Singapore, Malaysia, priced at only $3.04. In Malaysia, there are over 320 stores with more than 3,000 employees.

Africa
