The Best Water Park in the World is in Tenerife

Siam Park, located off the coast of Adeje in southern Tenerife, has been named the "Best Water Park in the World" for the fourth consecutive year. Built in 2008 and covering more than 185,000 m² of modern and refreshing Oriental-style facilities, this park is the only Spanish park to have achieved first place in the annual Traveller's Choice TM awards, compiled by the travel site TripAdvisor.

Winners are determined by an algorithm that takes into account the quantity and quality of reviews and ratings for water parks worldwide over a period of 12 months.

The top ten water parks are:

  1. Wild Wadi Water Park, Dubai, United Arab Emirates
  1. Aquatica (SeaWorld Water Park) Orlando, Florida
  1. Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Christoph Kiessling, managing director of Siam Park, expressed his gratitude for this recognition: "it is a great privilege." In addition, he assures that Siam Park will continue to strive for excellence and quality so that its customers can enjoy one of the most magical and refreshing experiences of the summer each season.

Being considered the largest water park in Europe, this site also features the largest artificial wave in the world and one of the highest and fastest slides globally, reaching 28 meters and speeds of up to 80 km/h.

Moreover, the list of the Best Water Parks in Spain includes: Aqualandia (Benidorm), which has been awarded second place; Water World (Lloret de Mar) in third place; Aquapark Flamingo (Alicante) in fourth; and PortAventura Caribe Aquatic Park (Salou) in fifth.

The national ranking is completed with: Aquopolis Costa Dorada (La Pineda), Aqua Brava (Roses), AquaPark Ciudad Quesada (Alicante); Aqua Natura (Benidorm) and Aquarama Water Park (Benicassim).
