The First Harry Potter Mega Store Opens This Summer in New York

If the frenzied pace of leisure, the Babylonian racial diversity, the vast cultural offerings, the neomegalomanic architecture, or the hyper-caloric hot dogs on every corner weren't enough reasons for you to visit New York, here's one more: Harry Potter opens the largest collection of merchandise under one roof in the world. As long as you're among the relentless hordes of fans of the little wizard with large round glasses, of course.

The introduction cannot be more enticing, at least for every 'freak' of the narrative chronicles and filmed stories from Hogwarts: "Muggles, the magic of the Wizarding World is coming to New York with the opening of the first official flagship Harry Potter store in the world," announces Warner Bros, the production company behind the film saga and promoter of this project.

The mega store will open on June 9 in the heart of New York next to the iconic Flatiron building at 935 Broadway. It will be called Harry Potter New York and will be part of an expanding portfolio of Wizarding World experiences owned by Warner Bros, which includes Warner Bros. Studio Tour London - The Making of Harry Potter and the Platform 93/4 retail stores.

This store will house the largest collection of Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts products in the world under one roof, featuring everything from personalized robes and Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans to a new range of wands custom designed for the New York location.

With three floors and over 1,800 square meters, the space will provide fans with a series of exciting experiences that evoke the magic of the Wizarding World, including areas that recreate some scenes from the movies. And of course, all the gadgets, clothing, and accessories imaginable.

The Vice President of Worldwide Tours and Retail at Warner Bros., Sarah Roots, said during the presentation: "This will be the largest store dedicated to Harry Potter in the world and will become a must-visit destination for fans where enthusiasts can engage with interactive experiences and numerous photo opportunities while diving into the magic."
