The Wall from Game of Thrones is Real
It has not been built by Brandon the Builder after the Long Night and does not prevent the "Others" and wildlings from roaming freely into the Seven Kingdoms, but this wall seems to have come straight out of the world of Game of Thrones. On the border of China with Russia, whimsical nature has raised a massive ice wall up to 20 meters high at some points.
This great ice wall was discovered earlier this year, and with a length of 20 kilometers, its emergence is due to a combination of weather phenomena such as prolonged low temperatures, strong winds, and flowing water beneath the surface of the lake causing the upper layers to shift. It is located in Lake Xingkai (or Lake Janka), north of Vladivostok, which serves as a border between the two countries (China and Russia), where the aforementioned conditions create the perfect environment for the formation of this massive wall.
This rare phenomenon is not commonly seen in nature, but many have rushed to compare it to the famous ice wall described numerous times in the book series by George R. R. Martin and seen by millions in the television series based on them: Game of Thrones.
But it is not only a comparison; there are those who have not hesitated to climb up to it and see the vastness of the lake from the highest point, just like the "Wildlings" in Game of Thrones who scale it to escape from the Others. Here, no one is fleeing from anyone, although its sight seems pure magic, and at any moment we might believe we will see Jon Snow and Ygritte appear from the other side.
