It has been a year since Transavia started using WhatsApp as a contact method for its users in the Netherlands, where during this time they have received around 200,000 messages related to their services and bookings. Now, they have expanded this service, and users can contact the airline in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese through text messages, but not voice.

At the moment, Transavia is the only low-cost airline offering WhatsApp as a communication channel, alongside the existing options available through Facebook, Twitter, and their Service Center. All of these services are available seven days a week from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, and the company commits to responding within an hour.

"We want to make it easier for everyone to contact Transavia. Statistics indicate that WhatsApp is an essential complement to existing options like Facebook or Twitter," stated Rob Abspoel, Social Media Manager at Transavia. "We offer a comprehensive service where questions about baggage, in-flight service, booking changes, and more are answered. We can even provide solutions for payment issues," Abspoel added. "We see WhatsApp as, above all, an effective and easily accessible alternative for customers to contact Transavia," concluded Abspoel.
