WTE Miami will bring together professionals from around the world at one of the largest tourism fairs in the United States
Once again, Miami will become the center of international tourism with the celebration of WTE Miami 2025 on September 17 and 18. True to its motto, "WTE Miami: The U.S. & International Travel Market," this event is solidifying its role as a key global platform designed to promote destinations and connect tourism professionals, suppliers, and decision-makers with leading buyers from the U.S. market.
Sponsored by Miami International Airport, Miami-Dade County, and the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB), WTE Miami 2025 will allow exhibitors to access strategic buyers from North America, thereby providing excellent business opportunities.
During the two days of the event, exhibitors from Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa, Europe, and Asia will be able to establish strategic business relationships, directly responding to their growing global interest in expanding within the U.S. market.
WTE Miami: the leading platform for the growth of the tourism industry
With over 400 exhibitors from more than 60 countries, WTE Miami 2025 will feature a diverse representation of the tourism sector, including airlines, hotels, tour operators, travel technology providers, and tourism offices from around the world.
Unlike other trade fairs in the sector, WTE Miami is strategically positioned at the intersection of North and South American travel markets, also serving as a bridge between the United States and key markets in Europe and Africa.
"WTE Miami is more than just a B2B trade fair. It is a strategic meeting point where global tourism professionals can connect, collaborate, and expand their presence in the U.S. market," said Javier Pérez Palencia, Director of WTE Miami. "The strong interest we have received not only from countries in the Americas but also from African and European exhibitors confirms Miami's role as a global gateway for business."
Miami: a strategic link for global tourism
With excellent connections to key markets in North America, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Europe, Miami is today one of the most dynamic tourist centers in the world, and an essential meeting point for the international tourism business world.
Miami International Airport (MIA) offers direct access to more than 100 international destinations and over 80 cities in the U.S., facilitating the connection of passengers from all over the world with the U.S. market. MIA is one of the busiest international airports, with over 50 million passengers annually. International travel accounts for 45% of total traffic, a figure that is continually growing. To respond to this expansion, MIA is investing $9 billion in an Infrastructure Improvement Plan that will increase its capacity and enhance the traveler experience.
"WTE Miami plays a fundamental role in connecting the global tourism community, offering a platform to educate, inspire, network with key industry players, and promote destinations and services," commented Ralph Cutié, Director and CEO of Miami International Airport. "Miami and many of the destinations with direct flights from MIA are key tourism markets. Therefore, it is essential for MIA to participate in and support important events like WTE Miami."
In addition, PortMiami, recognized as the "Cruise Capital of the World," further reinforces the city's role as a global tourism hub.
The best business and networking opportunities
WTE Miami 2025 has been designed to maximize the visibility of exhibitors and facilitate business connections, offering direct access to key decision-makers who are shaping the future of high-value international travel.
Thanks to its matchmaking platform, exhibitors will be able to connect with the right B2B partners within the leisure and group & incentive segment, including travel agencies, tour operators, tourism offices, wholesalers, corporate travel management agencies (TMCs), airlines, and transport providers.
Additionally, presentations and roundtables with industry leaders will provide valuable insights on emerging trends, market evolution, and investment opportunities in global tourist destinations.
"If you really want to expand a business in the U.S. market, WTE Miami is the right place to do it," concludes Pérez Palencia.
