It's not a shopping mall. It's much more than that. X-Madrid is the place everyone is talking about, and it's no wonder, because it has come to the capital to break all the molds and offer something never seen before. We are talking about a commercial and leisure space aimed at transforming the customer shopping experience, and how? By blurring the barriers.

The revolutionary concept, developed by MERLIN Properties, has undergone a complete transformation during the 24 months of its renovations, and finally, it opens its doors to the public with an offer that includes entertainment, 97 stores, pop-ups, and parking for over 1,800 vehicles, of which 50 are designated for electric cars.

The fusion of retail and leisure has been achieved by turning the traditional shopping mall model on its head, which is why at X-Madrid, leisure takes precedence over stores; therefore, they have dedicated 60% of the space to experiences and 40% to retail. This new approach has successfully blurred the barriers between both concepts, turning the shopping experience into leisure.

X-Madrid, in addition to its stunning structure, is characterized by offering customers a wide variety of experiences related to individual passions and hobbies. If we stroll through the establishment, we will encounter Climbat, an indoor wall over 15 meters high for climbing practice. Elite Gaming and VR Soft, a space dedicated to gaming and virtual reality enthusiasts. Undoubtedly impressive is Ongravity, an extension of over 2,250 square meters, both indoors and outdoors, where you can practice skateboarding, BMX, rollerblading, acrobatic fabric, and much more. It has also become the largest skate and freestyle area in Spain!

Movie lovers, don't worry, you also have your space: Ocine comes to X-Madrid, renewing the concept of traditional cinema and offering innovative and unique theaters. Ozone is a large arcade for all tastes that includes a bowling alley. Sports enthusiasts can enjoy it at Fitness Park, the first gym from this French chain to open in Spain. And then there's the crown jewel: Madrid City Wave, a pool with a wave simulator for practicing surfing. How do you like that? In X-Madrid, boredom does not exist.

These experiences are complemented by quality restaurants that also go beyond the typical, and with 22 unconventional stores not typically found in shopping malls, as they are directly connected to sports and the casual lifestyle that the establishment embodies. We can find brands like Levis, Jack & Jones, Courier, Vintalogy, Grimey, or Zoe Shop. The place features containers and pop-ups that are small spaces that can be rented for a maximum of one month, allowing small brands to showcase themselves and keeping the retail offering constantly changing.

There's also room for a little-seen sector in shopping malls, the so-called Motor & Bike, where we find establishments like Harley Davidson, Motocard, or Trek. In addition, a zone has been designated for eco-friendly operators like Natural World and the organic supermarket Veritas. X-Madrid also features an establishment called La Mujer Barbuda, a tattoo shop that already has a waiting list until next year before even opening. Specialty stores for Funkos, comics, and even a shop dedicated to Harry Potter merchandise are present in this revolutionary space.

X-Madrid is much more than a shopping mall, which is why an engaging calendar of activities will start to unfold in this space from this very weekend. The Spanish Climbing Cup, which will be held in the Climbat space on November 23rd and 24th, will kick off the events calendar. In December, the National Roller Freestyle Championship will take place at Ongravity, and a collector's motorcycle exhibition from Bultaco will also be displayed at X-Madrid until mid-January. 2020 is also packed with entertainment featuring bowling tournaments, breakdance exhibitions, and Harley Davidson gatherings. Its agenda will keep expanding over the months, and they already have a significant event planned for when they celebrate their 6-month anniversary. Are you going to miss all this?
